Museums & Galleries of NSW (M&G NSW) is inviting expressions of interest from individuals across the museum, gallery, and Aboriginal cultural centre sector in NSW to join our Register of Peers.
The Register brings together a diverse group of professionals and volunteers who contribute their time, knowledge and expertise to support our work. Peers may bring specialised experience in areas such as visual arts, museum practice, cultural heritage, or sector development. Others offer broad knowledge and deep engagement with the sector. We are committed to ensuring the Register reflects the diversity of our communities and cultural practices.
Peers play a vital role by offering sector insight, providing expert advice, and assessing applications for M&G NSW’s funding and development programs. Participation offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the sector’s growth, strengthen your understanding of current practice, and build professional networks.
If you’re interested in contributing, please email your expression of interest to comms@mgnsw.org.au by 30 June 2025.
Your submission should include:
-
A current resume, including the names and contact details of two referees
-
A short statement outlining your skills, experience, and interest in joining the Register
-
Acknowledgement of your willingness to comply with M&G NSW’s Code of Conduct
The next Register of Peers will be active from July 2025 to June 2027.
Please note that this is a voluntary, unpaid role.
If you have any questions about the process or your suitability, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We welcome interest from all areas of the sector, including those new to peer processes.
