MAAS Regional Program

The Regional Program run by the Museum of Applied Art & Sciences engages with regional NSW communities, reaching audiences across digital and physical means through public programming, co-productions, festivals and partnerships.

The Regional Program includes presentations, workshops, video conferencing and initiatives that support regional NSW collecting organisations and communities.

Available programs include:

How to Manage your Collection Induction
Three-day Inductions are designed for volunteers from regional museums and galleries with limited experience in collection management. Participants gain a basic understanding of the way objects in a large collecting institution are registered, conserved, stored and documented.

How to Conserve your Collection Workshop
Introductory conservation workshops are designed for regional collecting organisations that maintain a community-owned collection accessible to the public.

How to Curate Your Collection Workshop
A one-day curator workshop/site visit is designed for regional organisations that maintain a community-owned collection accessible to the public. The workshop/site visit is for organisations that need help with basic skills in developing exhibitions, identifying significant objects and writing statements of significance.

Applications are now open and close on 7 September.
