Join our Register of Peers

Museums and Galleries of NSW (M&G NSW) is seeking expressions of interest from across the museum and gallery sector from individuals wanting to join our Register of Peers.

The Register of Peers is made up of people who work or volunteer across the sector in NSW. Some may have specific art form, cultural heritage or technical skills that relate to our work. Others have relevant knowledge, involvements and/or experience – all offer their time to provide up to date museum and gallery sector advice, knowledge of industry best practice and the ability to make fair and informed assessments of applications across grant programs.

We now want to build on the pool of people with cultural heritage experience, museum and gallery technical skills, interdisciplinary and specific art form expertise.

If you’re a sector professional, artist, curator or volunteer and want to be involved, register your interest now by emailing peers@mgnsw.org.au.

Please include in your expression of interest an up to date resume, names and contact details of two referees and a statement about your particular skills, knowledge, interest to be involved and willingness to comply with M&G NSW’s adopted Code of Conduct.

If you are unsure about your suitability or simply have a question about the process or commitment required don’t hesitate to get in touch.

The term of the new Register of Peers will commence in September 2017 through to the end of December 2019.

Museums & Galleries of NSW helps small-medium museums, galleries and Aboriginal cultural centres create exciting experiences for visitors and, through this, thriving local NSW communities. We don't run museums, galleries and cultural centres but we care about those who do. We develop their skills, connect them with others in the industry, provide funding, point visitors their way, and give them access to ground-breaking exhibitions.

Museums & Galleries of NSW is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW.

Museums & Galleries of NSW
(M&G NSW) provides programs and services improving the visitor experience in small to medium museums, galleries and Aboriginal cultural centres across NSW.
