Internships at the Art Gallery of NSW

Applications for the The Art Gallery of NSW’s internship programs are now open.

The Art Gallery of NSW usually offers two rounds of internships per year coinciding with Australian university semester schedules.  Internships are available to currently enrolled tertiary-level students with priority given to students enrolled in museum studies, art history, visual arts, art education or arts administration courses, and in particular to those students for whom an internship is a course requirement.

Preference is given to students enrolled in educational institutions in New South Wales.

Successful applicants will be interviewed to further determine their suitability and may be subject to security clearance and working-with-children checks. Each application will be assessed on its merits.

Applications close Wednesday 15 March 2017 for the following:

  • Conservation
  • Curatorial: International art
  • Curatorial: Photography
  • Learning and participation
  • Installation art research
