Arts and Disability Project Funding

Applications are now open for funding between $20,000 and $60,000 to support professional arts projects for people with disability in NSW.

Arts and Disability Project Funding will support projects that increase the involvement of people with disability in arts and cultural activities.

The objectives of the funding are to increase opportunities for people with disability to participate in arts and cultural activities, including:

• Develop professional opportunities for artists with disability;

• Support the development of excellence in arts and disability projects and programs and build the capacity of arts and cultural organisations to support people with disability; and

• Increase community and cultural awareness and reduce attitudinal barriers to disability access.

Projects must start on or after 1 June 2015 and all arts and cultural organisations, disability organisations, partnerships and groups are eligible to apply. The funding applies for arts and cultural projects at any stage in their creative development and/or public presentation. The closing date for applications is midnight on Monday, 9 February 2015.

This one-off funding opportunity is provided by the NSW Lifetime Care and Support Authority and is administered by Arts NSW.
