About the role
Here at Maitland City Council, we are going through an exciting period of change, with a focus on exceptional customer experiences, where it’s our vision to deliver ‘Un-Council like’ services. As part of this, Maitland Libraries is seeking two Team Leaders for Library Experience who will be a key leader in evolving our services to provide an innovative, contemporary, and impactful experience for our community.
This role provides a unique opportunity for two experienced team leaders with innovative customer experience and venue management expertise to be part of leading change that delivers impact. Importantly the Team Leader Library Experience will champion the creation of a dynamic, community-driven team culture that supports inclusive customer experiences through a range of services and platforms. Each Team Leader will be responsible for managing two of Council’s Library branches.
You are a creative and innovative leader who thrives in an interesting and diverse role, leading a team in successfully delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your leadership and communication skills will have you leading innovative projects across the Libraries & Learning team including improving customer journeys, ensuring inclusive design and activation of public spaces.
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Library and Information services, Business or Project management, or an equivalent combination of relevant contemporary experience in cultural facility or venue management.

These are permanent full-time positions, working 35 hours per week with a salary range of $88,053 up to $97,739 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 10.5% p.a. super. Council also offers a range of other benefits for its employees, including:
