The position
This position plays a crucial role in increasing engagement with the national collections through the Gallery’s loans program, aiming to reach new and existing audiences across regional, remote and metropolitan locations across the country.

With responsibility for developing and identifying opportunities with regional venues as presented through the Gallery’s curated exhibitions, you will have excellent relationship building skills. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining networks across regional galleries and with a range of stakeholders across the Gallery. Other key skills include strong project management skills, ensuring workflows, deadlines, financial and resource management as part of the touring exhibitions and the Gallery’s loan program.

You will also collaborate closely with regional venues to identify and deliver future programs and joint initiatives surrounding the Regional Loan and Initiatives Program. This includes providing training and internship programs, online and marketing collaborations, and other opportunities that that will enhance and strengthen the relationship between the Gallery and regional venues.

This is a full-time, non-ongoing role available for a 5-year period in the Touring Exhibitions Department within the Artistic Programs Portfolio.
