Orange Regional Museum interprets the stories, cultures and places of the region, displaying artefacts that trigger memories, engage audiences and inspire new ways of thinking about history and cultures.
Our Museum enhances the vibrant cultural precinct already established, with exciting spaces for exhibitions, innovative education and public programs, and collaborative interdisciplinary programs with the gallery, library and theatre.

•Manage the day to day operational functions of the Orange Regional Museum consistent with the Museum Operational Plan
•Coordinate temporary exhibition program, including sourcing travelling exhibitions, and contracting researchers, curators, and designers to create exhibition content.
•Liaise with neighbouring Cultural Precinct managers to facilitate continued cross-organisational cooperation, communication and sharing.
•Ensure effective financial management of all aspects of Orange Regional Museum

So what do you need?
•Tertiary degree qualifications in Museum Studies or relevant field, including arts management, curatorial studies or history
•Demonstrated experience in a similar role including curatorial experience, exhibition development and leadership/supervisory skills in a museum context
•Class C Driver’s Licence
•Ability to achieve satisfactory Criminal Record Check

This role may involve work on weekends and after regular business hours.
