Operations Manager
Studio A’s mission is to professionally empower artists with intellectual disability and ensure their voices are heard within contemporary Australian culture.
We are a leading Australian supported studio for professional artists with intellectual disability. The enterprise tackles barriers that artists with intellectual disability face in accessing conventional education and professional development pathways needed to be successful and renowned visual artists.
Our artists have been finalists in the Archibald and Sulman Prizes (2023, 2022, 2021, 2020), undertaken major public commissions for the Art Gallery of NSW, Australian National Maritime Museum, Westpac and Cultural Capital for Westconnex, and been featured in exhibitions and festivals nationally.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced, part-time (3-4 days per week) Operations Manager to help build and maintain efficient corporate service capability functions that fully support the Studio A business and its operations.
The primary responsibilities of the Operations Manager include:
Managing and maintaining financial reports, budgets and payroll;
Developing effective policies and procedures that support best practice business and administration practices;
Preparing accurate and timely submissions for funding for various projects as required;
Ensuring organisational premises, property and assets are well maintained, secure, NDIS compliant and effective risk management practices are in place;
Effectively managing filing systems and record storage to ensure administration records are accurate, up-to-date and appropriately stored; and
Encouraging the vision, values, principles and practices of Studio A promoting a productive, creative and inclusive organisation.
The ideal candidate would also have an in-depth understanding of the NDIS environment, and be able to oversee Studio A’s preparation to become and remain an NDIS Certified Service Provider.
