Salary range ($71,766 to $79,186)
The Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land – the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
The Gallery attracts around 1 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.
With our expanded campus recent opening the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

About the Role
Identify and engage the next generation (Next Gen) of philanthropists to ensure ongoing support of the Gallery, its collection, resource areas, exhibition programs and expansion.

What technical / soft skills you require
Relevant tertiary qualifications in arts and/or communications or demonstrated years of experience
Demonstrated experience in event management and administration of a membership and/or philanthropic program a cultural or similar environment
Targeted questions
Please outline a time you engaged new benefactors for a cultural organisation. What strategies did you use to cultivate their commitment? How did you facilitate the contact through the information management system? What was the outcome? (maximum of 400 words)
What sort of strategies and procedures do you employ to make sure confidential benefactor information is kept private and up to date? What protocols are in place? What is achieved through this implementation and what is the outcome? (maximum of 400 words)
Part of the assessment process may include additional online capability testing, skills testing or work samples in accordance with the new Government Sector Employment Act 2013, therefore you may be contacted to participate.
