We are seeking an experienced proactive Museum Director to manage the operations and collections of the Tweed Regional Museum; collection displays and programs. The Museum Director also manages our Richmond Tweed Regional Library contract.
About the role:
Coordinate and provide active coaching, caring for and motivation for your high-calibre team at the Tweed Regional Museums
Responds to local and global trends in the curation and management of our collections
Ensures the continual development of the museum into one that preserves, promotes and interprets the distinctive stories, themes, people and places of the region
Maximises exposure to include strategies for overseas programs, partners and innovative activities for the benefit of Tweed Shire residents and visitors to our museums
Requires experience and leadership in museum planning and development; and management of the collection, exhibition, education and public programs relevant to heritage collections
Oversee the Richmond Tweed Regional Library contract and provide guidance and support to the Tweed Area Librarian.
