Membership Engagement and Operations Officer
The National Trust NSW is the State’s largest community based conservation organisation. It operates a number of important museums and leased historic properties while also looking after a large collection of objects and archaeological artefacts. About the Role
Located at Millers Point and with FREE parking onsite, this permanent role reports to the Director of Development and Membership. You will be responsible for increasing our retention rate through the engagement and participation of members in the National Trust Membership program and the administration and management of data within the CRM system (iMIS). This includes management of recurring membership-based operations, reporting and data integrity.
Customer facing, this role is the first point of contact within the organisation for all membership interaction, including responding to enquiries by phone, web, email and post
The role will also assist in managing relationships with suppliers and partners who provide benefits to the National Trust (NSW) Membership program.
About you
To be successful in this role, you must be able to multitask; this includes being technically competent and understanding database management and reporting, being able to communicate clearly and effectively with a great phone manner, being extremely organised and having high attention to detail. A positive attitude, the flexibility to meet a wide range of job demands and tight deadlines and an ability to work autonomously or as part of a team are also a ‘must’.
This role would suit a graduate with a degree in Business, Arts or Tourism who has 1-2 years’ work experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database within a membership organisation in an administrative or engagement/sales role, processing transactions and performing customer service duties. Ideally you would also have worked within the NFP sector. Throw in a love of the environment or the protection of heritage and you’d be our perfect candidate.
