Membership & Administration Manager
The Chippendale Collective Inc is a new membership-based non-profit Incorporated Association borne out of the Investment NSW #UptownProgram.
Our goal is to galvanise attention around the wonderful offering in Chippendale – located in Sydney’s southern Sydney CBD by engaging with Chippendale’s property owners and operators of art galleries, local restaurants, bars, music venues, entertainment spots, retail and hotels.
Having recently been awarded a Grant by the NSW Government we are looking for a Membership + Administration Manager (part-time) to join us as one of the OG and help us establish, and set a path forward for self-sufficiency and promotion.
The role reports to the Chippendale Collective Committee.
Responsibilities
Promote the Charter and Objectives of the Chippendale Collective
Initiate, develop and manage strategic relationships with local businesses, organisations and individuals to grow the stakeholder pool.
Recruit new paid members to the Chippendale Collective and retain existing ones.
Develop and lead membership drives.
Plan member and stakeholder events and campaigns.
Design membership benefits.
Maintain a membership database.
Recruit and manage memberships.
Budget management.
Administrative tasks associated with the business operations.
Assist with the promotion and marketing of the Chippendale Precinct.
Qualifications
Experience working in an Association, Membership based or government environment or not-for-profit, either in business development or member engagement or customer service
Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and execute membership strategies for retention and acquisition of members
Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including Report Writing
Ability to work autonomously with a self-starting work ethic
Experience with membership databases and CRM systems preferred.
Proven ability to plan and meet deadlines.
An ability to research and analyse information as well as accuracy in presenting and reporting data.
Flexibility, autonomy and initiative.
Willingness to help shape and grow a young and dynamic community organisation.
