Local Studies Officer
Liverpool City Library is currently recruiting for a Local Studies Officer who is passionate about history and heritage.
You will help to support the services and programs which help to document, preserve and share Liverpool’s rich cultural heritage with the community.
Reporting to the Local Studies Team Leader, you will be based at Liverpool City Library. The role is customer-focused and you will be carrying out original cataloging of heritage collections and guiding access to those collections.
You will also respond to local and family history enquiries and research content for publication and our public programs.
Your experience with digitisation and preservation of multiple formats, will improve access to a collection that tells the unique stories of Liverpool.
You will also fulfil regular on-desk shifts at the library, including regular night and weekends.
We will be moving to a new, innovative community space at Liverpool Civic Place by 2023 and we’re looking for team members who can help us to bring Liverpool’s history alive for all audiences.Find out more
