The Head of Communications & Marketing is a pivotal senior position within the Audience Engagement Division. The role leads the planning, development and implementation of the MCA brand strategy through high impact media campaigns, brand profiling, public relations and communications.
The position holder reports directly to the Director, Audience Engagement to manage and strengthen the MCA’s marketing & communications strategy with the primary objective of further positioning the Museum as a world-class cultural destination; driving awareness of its exhibitions, events and Public Programs and supporting its revenue-generating activities (ticketing, MCA Store, corporate partners, venue hire, MCA Cafe, Graze MCA, Membership, philanthropy).
The Head of Communications & Marketing develops and disseminates key MCA messages through strategic media and other publicity campaigns and is directly responsible for strengthening communications with key stakeholder groups including the media, government, key staff, sponsors and business partners, industry partners, MCA supporters and Museum audiences.
The Head of Communications & Marketing is responsible for budgets across the team and the leadership of a team of 4, including 2 direct reports: Marketing Manager and Public Relations Specialist.
