The Gallery Operations & Visitor Engagement Officer role is responsible for:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Tamworth Regional Gallery, including the front of house requirements.
- Supervise the Gallery front of house staff and volunteers to deliver best practice visitor experience and engagement.
- Enhance the visitor engagement at the Gallery, including fostering audience development opportunities and the successful promotion/marketing of public programs.
- Assume responsibility for a range of education and administrative tasks relating to education planning, research and development.
- Develop educational and engagement programs specific to projects across the Tamworth Regional Gallery.
- Assist with the preparation of Federal and State Government Grants and other related submissions
- Support the exhibition development and delivery at the Tamworth Regional Gallery .
- Build strong relationships and networks with Gallery volunteers, contractors and artists.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- Bachelor of History, Arts, Cultural Studies, Education or other relevant discipline
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Gallery professional with a passion for the Arts and community engagement within the industry. Demonstrated experience in working within a Gallery and/or Museum environment is required.
You will be working within a small team based at the Tamworth Regional Gallery.
