Firstdraft Gallery Assistant
The Gallery Assistant plays an essential role in the delivery of Firstdraft’s diverse program of exhibitions, live events, and screenings through administrative and on-the-ground support for colleagues, artists and visitors. The role includes working independently on weekends during exhibition periods to welcome visitors and promote
Firstdraft’s programs. The Gallery Assistant will engage in a variety of support tasks for the Gallery Operations Coordinator, Communications Coordinator and General Manager to assist in the fulfilment of day-to-day gallery administration and operations and exhibitions management.
The gallery assistant reports directly to the General Manager. From time to time the role will interact or liaise with the Board of Directors, which will enable connectivity across the wider Firstdraft team.
This position is for an emerging arts professional with opportunities to upskill across many facets of arts administration and project management.
This position is based in Woolloomooloo.
