Curatorial Assistant and Exhibitions Administrator
1 x Permanent/Full Time – 35 hours, 5 days per week (over a 7-day band-width)
The Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre is a cultural facility for Liverpool City Council. The Centre, one of the largest multi-arts organisations in Southwest Sydney, boasts six galleries and two performance spaces, including a 322-seat theatre and a flexible performance space, which can seat up to 100 people. We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as Curator.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Curatorial Assistant and Exhibitions Administrator position is a crucial role in the Curatorial and Collections team and be responsible for administrative duties associated with the planning and successful realisation of exhibitions hosted at the Gallery or any subsequent touring venues.
Working with the Curatorial Team, the position will also assist with documenting projects, collection of information to draft loan agreements, liaise with artists and galleries, assist with the grant applications and acquittals, curatorial research, and the coordination of the installation of exhibitions as required.

ABOUT YOU
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:
Appropriate qualifications and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
Current Class C Drivers licence
Demonstrated experience in relation to contractual obligations, lender agreements and procurement processes.
Experience in research and delivery of contemporary art exhibitions including design and installation.
Knowledge and experience in coordinating multiple projects and delivering project-based tasks and activities.
