Collection Development Lead
The Collection Development Lead is a member of the Special Projects and Systems Support team. The role is responsible for the strategic planning, development, maintenance and evaluation of ACT cultural collections (Visual Art and Museum/Social History collections) and the depreciable collections (Library and Digital Assets). This position will work closely with the Art Gallery, Social History and Library teams to ensure collections are accessible, accurate and meet the needs of users, community and visitors and the delivery of Lake Macquarie Cultural Collections Policy.
For Library and Digital Assets, the role coordinates both the physical and digital library collections, ensuring continued currency and relevancy of collections and databases. The role supervises the end-to-end management of the depreciable collection, developing a collection strategy and profiling plans, undertaking annual reviews of library collections and databases, and all other reporting required for insurances, and budgeting purposes, working collaboratively with the Collections Working Group.
