About Orange Regional Gallery and Orange Regional Museum
Orange Regional Gallery is a centre for art in the Central West of New South Wales, Australia.
Artists and our audiences are at the centre of everything we do at Orange Regional Gallery. We support artists to produce new and innovative works and assist our audiences to have a meaningful connection to the art they produce.
Alongside our Exhibition and Education Programs, we care for an established and rapidly growing Permanent Collection of modern and contemporary art from Australia and abroad.
Established in 2016, Orange Regional Museum is an award-winning museum dedicated to sharing engaging exhibitions and diverse public programs for audiences of all ages. Orange Regional Museum collects and interprets objects of significance for our local history and the history of the broader Central West region.
Job/Responsibilities
Working closely with the Public Engagement and Education Officers at the Museum and Gallery, you will be responsible for providing hands on support and assistance in the delivery of public programs and educational activities to children and adults at the Orange Regional Museum and Orange Regional Gallery. You will be required to assist with these workshops and activities in the following way:
Providing professional and friendly support and advice to participants, teachers and/or carers
Help with the preparation and pack up of events and education activities.
Assist with the supervision and safety of participants.
Participate in the evaluation at the end of each workshop/activity.
Provide any other support to the Public Engagement and Education Officers in the delivery of these activities.
Assist with other related duties as required e.g after-hours functions including the serving of food and alcohol.

To be successful in these positions you will need:
Demonstrated interest in the provision of children’s workshops and educational activities.
Ability to develop respectful relationships with children and positively manage groups of children of all ages.
Current Working with Children Check
Current Responsible Services of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card
