The Art Gallery Society of New South Wales (AGS) is the official Membership Program for the Art Gallery of NSW (AGNSW), one of Australia’s flagship art museums and the State’s leading visual arts institution. Our purpose is to create opportunities to enhance the experience of the Art Gallery for our members and the public by delivering a range of benefits as well as artistic, social and educational programs, events and services to almost 30,000 members. We support the AGNSW with fundraising and financial support towards the costs of artwork acquisitions, programs and exhibitions.
We are seeking a consultant to assist us in developing a new Membership Development Plan that will enable the AGS to map out the future direction of its membership services and engagement over a three-year period commencing in late-2022 with the opening of the Sydney Modern Project. This will include researching best practice and a review and analysis of our current membership categories, programs, benefits, prices, marketing and resources with the aim of meeting ambitious membership targets set within the AGS Strategic Plan 2022-2025. The consultant will then work with the AGS Management team and staff to identify potential business development opportunities and an implementation plan.
