The Associate Program Producer, a new role, will work as part of a team and will report to the Programs Manager.
The PERLA Department develops and delivers a wide range of innovative and engaging learning programs to increase access and understanding of the Gallery’s art collection and exhibitions. You will need to be highly organised, use excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in the development of these programs. The programs that you may be involved with include major destination events, regular activities, workshops, lectures, and tours delivered onsite, online, and on the road, as well as other interpretative programs tailored to diverse audiences.
Ensuring Indigenous culture is at the centre of the national cultural agenda is foundational to the Gallery’s Learning Strategy and all roles in the PERLA are Identified and applicants should have an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
This is part-time ongoing employment opportunity is available within the PERLA Department, Curatorial and Programs Portfolio. After hours and weekend work is required on a regular basis in this role. It is expected that on average one weekend in three will be worked, however at times this may increase. This is an ‘identified position’ and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
