Assistant Curator, Film

Provide professional assistance in all aspects of work in the Projects (Art, Music and Film) department (with a focus on Film) under direction.

What technical / soft skills you require

  1. Tertiary degree in cultural studies, art or film history or equivalent professional training in the art gallery or cinema sector, coupled with knowledge of the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ moving image offerings.
  2. Proven experience in undertaking research to an academic standard, the ability to write and present research on the moving image to diverse publics, and the ability to contribute to a wide range of interdisciplinary curatorial projects.
