For advice about visual arts and heritage development we rely on people in-the-know. In 2015 M&G NSW moved from a reference committee structure to a more flexible model giving us access to a broad range of expertise through a Panel of Peers.
Our Panel of Peers is made up of people who work or volunteer in the museum, gallery or Aboriginal cultural centre sector across NSW. Some may have specific art form, cultural heritage or technical skills that relate to our work. Others will have relevant knowledge, involvements and/or experience to provide accurate and up to date advice, and to make fair and informed assessments of funding applications.
In addition to the panel we now have three committees; the Aboriginal Reference Committee, the Standards Review Committee, and the IMAGinE Review Committee who are responsible for judging the award nominations we receive each and every year.
