This program commenced in late 2008 with the advisor, Joan Kelly. Joan Kelly works with the volunteer run museums in the Shire to coordinate training projects across the four museums.

 

In 2009, Joan has made individual visits to each museum and held a number of group meetings rotated around the various museums to encourage collaboration and sharing of knowledge. During these meetings Joan has organised training in various aspects of museum practice including strategic planning, collaborative marketing, collection management, disaster preparedness, grant writing, volunteer sustainability and significance assessment.
