Michelle Brennand’s current position is Manager Library, Heritage and Cultural Services, at City of Wanneroo, the second fastest growing local government authority in the country. Michelle brings 18 years experience in local government to the position, along with experience in international and local project management. Michelle’s portfolio includes five libraries, managing several significant heritage sites- including pioneer residences dating from as early as 1860s- and responsibility for the City’s extensive arts and community programming.

 

Michelle is project sponsor for the City of Wanneroo’s new Cultural and Learning Centre, a $20 million project that will encompass a new library, museum and exhibition facilities. As project sponsor and as a director on The Australian Library and Information Association and Public Libraries Australia National Boards, Michelle offers valuable insight into convergence methods and models.
