Museum Director, McCrossin’s Mill Museum

Kent Mayo has thirty years experience working with volunteers (and professionals) in museums. His interests are museology, writing reading, design, theatre, music, history, Australian antiques and visual arts.

Kent is a founding member of the Uralla Historical Society. He has served on the board to Arts North West for six years, and recently stepped down as President after two productive years at the helm.

Kent is Museum Director at McCrossin’s Mill Museum, and completed the Standards Program in 2008. Kent passionately asserts that Museums should not be Mausoleums, and should set out to connect empathically with the visitors.
