Build 'em up: tricks of the audience research trade - 14 August 2009

28 / 07 / 2009 – 01 / 08 / 2009

In July 2009, M&G NSW will present the findings from the Year 2 of its major audience evaluation and development project. This year the study focuses on the Sydney Metropolitan region and will reveal exactly who is visiting galleries in this region, and why.

To promote and explain the significance of these findings, M&G NSW will present a one-day ‘hands-on’ workshop, Build ‘em up: tricks of the audience research trade. Delegates will have exclusive access to the comprehensive findings of the report, as well as an analysis of how the report can inform planning and programming. Masterclasses in the afternoon will scope the ‘what’, ‘why’ and ‘how’ of audience research and explore how organisations can administer research, learn how to interpret data and bring statistics to life, as well as the practical applications of knowing more about your audience.

Speakers include:

  • Mackenzie Steele, Research and Audience Development Manager, Museums & Galleries NSW
  • Rose Hiscock, Manager Marketing, Communications and Commercial Operations, Museum Victoria
