Free to a good home

This is a chance in a lifetime! The Museum of Contemporary Art has a set of artwork storage sliding racks to donate to a good home.

If your collection needs support – yes, the pun is intended – then consider this generous offer. Mesh screens allow you to store and hang your framed collection as well as 3D objects, tools and framing materials.

Nine individual runs are available. The racks include wire mesh hanging space of 4660 x 2440mm. The racks have a length of 9600mm when fully extended. Check out the slideshow above to view the technical specifications.

Originally from Sherman Galleries, the racks were pulled out during the conversion to Sherman Contemporary. The MCA were going to use the racks themselves but have since opted to install purpose built racks for their storage facility.

An opportunity to elevate the storage and conservation of artwork for any museum, regional gallery or ARI! And they are free!

The racks are currently being stored at the MCA’s Lilyfield storage facility. Installation, assembly and suitable transport is required but if you can cover those costs, why not contact us for more information?

This is an unmissable opportunity to elevate the storage and conservation of artwork for any museum, regional gallery or ARI! And they are free!
