The results of the second year of Museums & Galleries NSW’s Strategic Audience Development Study, Guess Who’s Going to the Gallery?, was launched by The Hon. Virginia Judge M.P. B.Ed., Minister Assisting the Premier on the Arts, at the Museum of Contemporary Art on 12 August 2009.

 

The Study aims to draw a picture of the type of people who visit our galleries and the 2009 findings shatter some of the myths associated with gallery goers. The study is titled A Strategic Audience Evaluation and Development Study for Galleries in NSW - Sydney Metro Report.

 

The report presents the second year of research which began in August 2008 and concluded in February 2009, with 2,239 responses collected in 10 galleries across Metropolitan Sydney.
