Museums & Galleries NSW and the Historic Houses Trust presented Defying extinction: keeping museums and galleries alive on Friday, 3 April 2009 at the Museum of Sydney. This was a timely seminar exploring creative and effective approaches to funding. Including metropolitan and regional speakers, the seminar will looked at how a range of museums and galleries have succeeded in generating alternative streams of revenue and support to help keep them afloat. 

 

This was the first seminar in the annual Museum of Sydney/Museums & Galleries NSW series.
