Mid-State Shearing Shed Museum

The Mid-State Shearing Shed Museum was built in a disused railway goods shed by a group of retired shearers and the people of Nyngan.

The collection and displays describe the important contribution that the shearing industry made and continues to make in Nyngan, the Bogan Shire and New South Wales.

There’s much to see–an amazing collection of shearing equipment, displays of shears, wool and bag stencils. There are stalls set up as in a shearing shed complete with classing table.

The Museum displays the work of local artists whose murals that cover several walls.
