M&G NSW On the Road - South East NSW

M&G NSW is working with South East Arts Region (SEAR) to assist museums throughout the region. General Manager, Programs & Services from M&G NSW Suzanne Bravery recently visited nine museums in the region and met with representatives from another six. At a meeting of the South East Museums Network in Bega, Suzanne outlined M&G NSW’s Standards Program, which is planned to run in the region in 2011.

 

“It was great to visit museums in the region and meet many of the volunteers who put in so much time and effort preserving local history” explained Suzanne. “The Standards Program has already assisted over 50 museums and keeping places in eight regions of NSW and Queensland”. Suzanne also met with Council staff and Councillors from the various Shires to promote the program and advocate for support.
