Seeking EOIs for Three Committees

M&G NSW are seeking expressions of interest for membership on three committees (Gallery Reference Committee, Museum Reference Committee, Volunteer Reference Committee) from 2012. Applications are due 3 February 2012. All applications received will be considered and the final selection will be made by M&G NSW staff with endorsement from the M&G NSW Board. Endorsement from the applicant’s current institution will be sought before candidates are notified by mid February 2012.

Registrations now open for Access to Funding

Access to Funding is a one day workshop about funding for the arts programmed especially for museums, historical societies, galleries and other community arts organisations. It offers presentations from a range of grant-giving bodies, as well as practical sessions on grant writing and application and assessment processes.

Review of M & G NSW Available to Public

Museums and Galleries NSW (M&G NSW) has been in operation since 1999. As a peak organisation, the role of M&G NSW has been to develop, maintain and support the gallery and museum sector throughout NSW, particularly regional NSW. In keeping with governance best practice and in the context of the emerging needs and changes that have taken place in the museums and galleries sector over the last ten years, Arts NSW commissioned a review of M&G NSW.  The review included targeted consultation with relevant stakeholders, particularly the museums and galleries sector, the State’s cultural institutions and nominated industry experts.

Applications for the 2011 Incoming Touring Exhibition Grants now open!

The Incoming Touring Exhibition Grant (ITEG) program provides financial assistance to publicly funded art galleries, art spaces, visual arts organisations, and craft and design centres throughout NSW enabling them to bring high quality visual arts and crafts exhibitions to their community. Eligible organisations can apply for a minimum of $2,000 application with no upper limit.
