Twenty/20 curated by Ron & George Adams (founding members, MOP Projects) is a group exhibition of twenty emerging, mid-career and established painters who have each shown at the Sydney based Artist-Run Initiative MOP Projects over the past six years. Despite the impact of new and photomedia based creative practices, painting can and does remain a viable creative medium. The exhibition presents an opportunity for a detailed understanding of the nature of painting, its impact in a historical sense and as a driving force in contemporary visual art practice.

For regional galleries Twenty/20  offers audiences the opportunity to engage with diverse conceptual themes and contemporary creative techniques, via a highly accessible and engaging medium, specifically, 21st century Australian painting. The exhibition takes up a maximum of 50 running metres, but can be reduced or expanded slightly due to the flexible nature of spacing between artworks.

Artists: Ron Adams, Mitch Cairns, Leo Coyte, Maria Cruz, Julie Fragar, Alex Gereg, David Griggs, Michelle Hanlin, Marius Jastkowiak, Fiona Lowry, Rob McHaffie, Nell, Adam Norton, Nana Ohnesorge, Anna Peters, Elizabeth Pulie, Husyin Sami, Gemma Smith, John Spiteri, Angus Wood.

Supporters: Museums & Galleries NSW, UTS Gallery, University of Technology Sydney, MOP Projects.
