There's a War On! World War II at Home (Small Scale)

11 / 07 / 2011 – 14 / 01 / 2013

Following an extremely successful national tour, Museums & Galleries NSW is proud to present two small scale versions of the touring exhibition There’s A War On! World War II At Home.

World War II was a time of great change for the people of NSW.  For some, supporting the war effort led to adventure, love, lasting friendships and new experiences. For others, wartime meant loss and hardship. There’s a War On! World War II at Home showcases the varied experiences of the men, women and children who fought the war on the home front, tapping into images and stories from collections across NSW.

A community based wiki has been developed in conjunction with the exhibition to record these important stories and map the activities that took place in wartime NSW. Visit the There’s a War On! wiki.
