STUDIO: Australian Painters Photographed by R. Ian Lloyd presents the award-winning photographer’s large format portraits of 61 of Australia’s most acclaimed painters in their studio environment – be it an inner city loft, suburban kitchen or sandy earth of the outback – containing extraordinary and revealing detail about each artist and their work. Accompanying the exhibition is a hardcover book displaying each artist photographed, with their unique response to art critic John McDonald’s questions on the nature of the creative process, and a DVD with artists speaking on their practice. Both the book and DVD provide fascinating insight into the artists’ minds, moods and working life, adding beautifully to the captivating visual photo media presentation that is STUDIO.
The exhibition runs up to 80 metres, but can be double hung or edited following consultation with the Touring Agency and artist.
