M&G NSW weekly
email bulletin:
As part of the National Exhibitions Touring Support Scheme (NETS) M&G NSW’s touring program is unique in the breadth and scale of its service, delivering high quality contemporary visual arts/craft and social history exhibitions to galleries, museums and arts centres throughout Australia. It is the primary vehicle in NSW for presenting touring exhibitions to regional, outer regional remote and very remote Australians, serving communities as small as 180.
Since 1999/2000 we have:
- Managed a total of 48 Tours, including 275 exhibition occurrences.
- Provided exhibitions for 59 venues in NSW and 44 interstate.
- Attracted 1,105,324 visitors to regional and metropolitan galleries
Exhibitions are selected according to the M&G NSW Touring Exhibition Policy in conjunction with advice from M&G NSW’s Visual Arts Reference Committee and through ongoing and open dialogue with museums and galleries throughout NSW.
To propose an exhibition for consideration for the M&G NSW touring program we encourage you to discuss the exhibition with the Touring Exhibitions Services staff on (02) 9339 9906. The Proposal Guidelines and Application Form can be downloaded here M&G NSW Touring Exhibition Proposal Form.
We are always interested to hear about new exhibitions that are available for touring, and we are happy to talk with you about how to make sure your exhibition is tour ready.
We also have a number of resources including the Exhibitions Register that assists galleries, museums, touring organisations and independent curators from around Australia in promoting their own exhibitions that are currently available for tour.
