Welcome to our Website

Welcome to the new Museums & Galleries of NSW website. This is a ‘one stop shop’ that brings together over 350 properties across the state, so you can discover hundreds of museums, galleries and Aboriginal keeping places.

The platform provides a much needed ‘big picture’ of where to go and what to see in regional NSW. On the website you can plan trips, build trails, read articles and explore exciting experiences available in museums and galleries.

The platform provides a much needed ‘big picture’ of where to go and what to see in regional NSW. On the website you can plan trips, build trails, read articles and explore exciting experiences available in museums and galleries.

With over five million visitors to regional and metropolitan museums and galleries in NSW in 2012, excluding the major cultural venues such as the Art Gallery of NSW and MCA, this new website eliminates the challenge of pinpointing a range of local museums, galleries and Aboriginal cultural centres across the state.

But enough talk. Watch the video and get exploring.

Who we are

Museums & Galleries of NSW works with museums, galleries and Aboriginal cultural centres to improve their visitor experience. We have a special allegiance to the tiny, the volunteer and the remote organisations across the state.

Who built the site

The site is by Sydney-based The Interaction Consortium, designed by Toben with user experience design by Pure and Applied. Museums and Galleries of NSW would like to thank these fine people from the bottom of our hearts. They've built a great website.
