Gallery Programs and Touring Exhibitions Manager

 

Rachel Arndt has recently returned from four years living and working in the UK. She worked on exhibitions, public relations and collections management at Christ Church Picture Gallery, Oxford London to take up a role for the Arts Council Collection managed by the Hayward Gallery, Southbank Centre. The Arts Council Collection is the largest touring collection of British art in the world and contains over 8000 works of modern and contemporary art by British born and based artists. In this role Rachel worked on a number of touring exhibitions including Flashback: Bridget Riley and Unpopular Culture: Grayson Perry selects from the Arts Council Collection. 

 

Prior to this, Rachel worked for the Visual Arts and Community Cultural Development Boards of the Australia Council for the Arts.

 

Rachel has a Masters in Art Administration from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours (majoring in Photomedia) from the University of Sydney.
