Manager, Standards and Professional Development

 

Lyndel joined M&G NSW in 2006 to develop and stage professional development workshops and seminars for the museum and gallery sector. Lyndel is also responsible for the Mentorship/Fellowship Program and assists direction of the Standards Program for community museums.

 

Lyndel was Curator/Assistant Director at Shepparton Art Gallery, Victoria (1993-1996) where she worked extensively with temporary and touring exhibitions, the permanent collections and education and public programs for the local and broader community. Lyndel then worked as the inaugural Cultural Heritage Officer for the City of Boroondara, Melbourne. After relocating to Sydney in 1999, Lyndel took the position of Collection/Exhibition Manager at Penrith Regional Gallery & Lewers Bequest.

 

She is a trained curator with significant experience in collection, exhibition and arts management over a fifteen year period. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with an Arts Degree majoring in Art History (Honours) and has a Graduate Diploma in Museum Studies from Deakin University. She also has a certificate in Team Leadership.
